His Neon Future series, shot in Japan, is inspired by both the country’s futuristic society and an imagined dystopian reality.
Gardel edits his images to create consistency using colors and moods, telling a story throughout all of his work.
In this series, his photos were shot in Tokyo at night.
Gardel would shoot between 6 pm and 4 am every day for 10 days, capturing the futuristic look of Tokyo before editing it to get the final series product.
