Living near the sea, I am always drawn towards a blue palette and, having created an abstract encaustic wax background, I then encased the flowers in wax and added the robin with its comforting red breast and friendly demeanour. The result is my own little world providing the perfect escape from present day life with the combination of sea and sky, birds and flowers, flora and fauna in all their peace and beauty. You can clearly see in this work how the layers of different coloured waxes have been scraped away and added to in order to create depth and variation. The addition of the flowers provided extra texture to the painting, drawing the viewer into its 3D world.$ 715 Add to cart
