  • Pearl

Ta Thimkaeo • Koh Samui • Thailand

    2018 • Oil on canvas

    120 x 120 cm

Pearl, is beautiful, cool, confident but looking for something, you're never sure what she’s looking for, she has her back to the you as if in hope and expectation, waiting for something, but what?I love painting women, my women are all beautiful, women don’t need faces or clothes to portray beauty. My women come in all shapes and sizes they could be from anywhere in the world. Beauty is a feeling, a glow inside that radiates out, I try to capture that glow with every brush or knife stroke. I wanted Pearl to look comfortable with lots of pleasing curves, a young attractive woman, exquisite but above all at ease with herself.

2019 • Acrylic & oil on canvas stretched on MDF panel

    30 x 39 cm

This artwork shows figuratively and realistically painted deers within a mystical abstract landscape (woodland scenery). My intention is to carry the observer into a fascinating, mystical, and dreamlike moment and arose a feeling of longing and nostalgia. Let yourself reminisce about your childhood where everything was still undiscovered, fascinating, mystical, magical, colorful... Rediscover your inner child! The use of different painting techniques, several layers of acrylic and oil paints, a thick layer of transparent resin, and the targeted composition of shiny and matt surfaces give a beautiful depth to this painting.

I was looking for portrait models and met Noe in a train. After some weeks we met and did a portrait and photoshooting in Darmstadt in July 2018. She is a great model and I love to work with her. She got such a warm and emotional expression and by time also a interesting touch of unruliness in her eyes and face.

  • The Heroin

Adam Sturch • Truth or Consequences • United States

    2015 • Oil on wood

    53 x 55 cm

A heavily layered oil painting on a wooden surface. About addiction. The loneliness of life, being confronted with the beauty and horror we are all faced with on a daily basis, demands escape. For most of the population of modern society, crutches, human, chemical or otherwise seem a necessity. The yearning for a connection with the other- the numinous whatever that is for the individual, is represented by the door. Love, compassion, altruism, the flip side of our addictive necessity can be as advantageous as destructive. “The difference between passion and addiction is that between a divine spark and a flame that incinerates.” ― Gabor mate.

    2018 • Oil on canvas

    120 x 120 cm

“The longer you look at an object, the more abstract it becomes, and, ironically, the more real.” Lucian Freud
If you look closely you will see the Queen of jazz playing various instruments the guitar the sax the piano with her fans looking on enjoying the music.I love painting people, but I don’t want to just paint portraits, I want my people to have a bit of character, a little of the night about them I want them to be special, I also want an art deco sort of surrealism feel to it, for you to see something different every time you look at it, I wanted it to hold your imagination.

Be a team player, not a bandwagon jumper. Life’s trials will test you, and shape you, but don’t let them change who you are. The freedom of the open road is seductive, serendipitous and absolutely liberating. There is strange comfort in knowing that no matter what happens today, the Sun will rise again tomorrow.

    2017 • oil on canvas

    63.5 x 81.28 cm

Titled "What's Next?", I used a series of oil layers with a glazing technique to give the colors a luminous effect. This enhances the psychological mood one can feel when confronted with conflicting feelings or excitement. This is part of my current exploration of how people perceive when possibilities and uncertainties arise in one's life.Oil on canvas stretched on a handmade stretcher frame, has wire hanger. Edges are finished so it can be displayed immediately. This is meant to be a focal point in any room or office. copyright 2018

  • The Tree Singularity 2

Kloska Ovidiu • Focsani • Romania

2018 • acrylic painting on stretched canvas

    100 x 80 cm

" I' ve been always fascinated by trees. My biggest admirations for the old and very large ones and especially the ones that are outside the forest and exist in a solitary massive apparition. For me this massive structure of energy is like a massive trace of the Creator intention to fascinate and to inspire us. Staying in the shadow of this tree my mind is changing me from an ordinary guy to a storyteller but my stories have no sound ... is just like a mute and speckles movies. Is like I am trying to tell stories about longevity, about beautiful people that were close to me in a period of my time. I think the tree is a kind of form of singularity even you can say to me that they look the same. I must disagree with you. Maybe they look the same but each one has a complete different energy patern ..They are more unique than us. Here in my place close to the town I can see the hills far away and i can distinguish the shapes of the lonely big ones that are like Shepard to the others . I feel so small staying close to them and my God so ephemeral I have different blood and different intentions. I read some time ago that after your death you can ask for your body to be burn and the ash can be putt it on a large vessel with a tree seed inside so even after your death your can help this planet to be saved. I really embrace this idea. I finish my studies in Iasi, a beautiful academic center, witch has the most beautiful and large Botanical Garden form the country ,. There i went for so many times to draw and to embrace the trees. I did it without other people seeing me because i felt that this gesture must be discrete and private. Without this sacred entities we will perish from this planet. In that times i have embrace them constantly, close to the down of the sun , when people leaved the park and i was alone with them, and with that worm light of the leaving sun. Remembering that time I recharge myself in a way that I cannot explain. I am so grateful that the nature gave me this sensibility to generate at least a small part of this in my paintings.
