My objective in art: transmit emotions, feelings and questionings I was born in Sao Paulo in 1956 and graduated in Business Administration by Sao Paulo University, having worked as Marketing Executive Officer at big multinationals companies, for over 30 years.

Later I got fascinated by the world of arts, especially by the technique of great masters of oil paintings from the Renaissance and by the Surreal style. Over the years, I acquired my knowledge through international travels, art history courses and painting studios, where I could perfect the drawing, the techniques and the creativity. Despite my formation and career being at the Business Administration area, I never stopped painting.
I believe I was born with the natural gift of drawing, just like my Portuguese father who was a carpenter and I loved seeing him drawing furniture.
Painting brings me to a meditation state, a form of tranquilizing my mind and my thoughts in the here and now. And that, from my point of view, is being in a state of happiness, that only painting provides me.
That is why, I like this definition: “Art is the human activity linked to manifestations of aesthetic order, made by artists from the emotions and ideas, with the objective of stimulating this interest of consciousness in one or more spectators, and each work of art
possesses a unique and different meaning”. That is why art is currently to me, a more direct form of communication, without using words…
Since I was young I adored arts class at school and liked very much of drawing. For this reason, at the time to decide what to study at
college, I thought of Architecture, but finally decided for Business Administration. At that time, I didn’t have the goal to become a professional plastic artist.
The will to be a plastic artist came in 2005, after having participated in collective halls and exhibitions with the incentive from friends and family, who told me I had a very good work, whether from the creative point of view or from the technical one.
From then on, even as market executive, I started to effectively invest in my potential plastic artist career, aiming to make it a profession in the future.

The female thematic, trying to show the duality of the feminine soul is something that always fascinated me. For me, it is about a poetic
vision about the feminine. I like to contextualize situations and places playing with past and present scenes and places. The water, that for me transmits emotions, is another element very present in my compositions. My work is always in oil on canvas that I always execute with acrylic ink and mass, in order to obtain a particular texture to the backgrounds of my works.
I consider my style as Contemporaneous Figurative, with classical realistic technique of painting in oil on canvas and a thematic that I define as “Fantastic Realism” and that wanders among Classic and Contemporaneous.
My objective is “to talk” with the spectator, through situations that walk between the universe of the ancient and the current or between the interior and exterior, through the timeless figures, surreal emotions and sometimes poetic emotions.
Therefore, I consider that my work is intrinsically associated with “feeling” and of poetically marked inspiration. Strongly influenced by Renaissance and Baroque painters such as Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci and Caravaggio (as for technique), as well as by Contemporaneous (as for style) like Salvador Dalí, Carlos Araújo, Sérgio Ferro, Pierre-Jean Couarraze, Roger Suraud, Vito Campanella, among others. It was observing them and studying, that I reached my pictorial technique and my creative style.
Since 2005 I have been professionally presenting my work in collective exhibitions throughBrazil and abroad, winning several awards. I
participate and publish my work through Galleries; I have works cataloged in art publications in Brazil, United States and Europe; and works on private collections in the country and abroad. I have been receiving several compliments to my work, both in terms of technique and of creativity, and without a doubt the best responses are the awards that were granted to me, the works included in official and private collections besides publications dedicated to me in Brazil as well as abroad. In January of 2018, I
participated of the XII Bienalle d’Arte Internazionale di Roma, where I was awarded with the 2nd place in Painting category.

Anyway, I like to transmit emotions, feelings and questionings through my work and because of that, I believe it is alive… and not a dead nature. I like that the spectator discovers slowly the details, stories minutiae that I create and try to impregnate within my works.
