Eternal is piece that reflects the concept of natural conservation .Massive extinction throughout generations, thousands of hectares of rain forests eradicated. Hundreds of animals who lost their precious habitats. Constant floods, green and refreshing fields turned arid and black, heat waves and cold waves. All consistent with Mankind presence on earth, a direct result of its exploitation. Eternal speaks of the connection between two beings as it is something divine. The natural untouched wild regions, already so slim, when contemplated, whispers for who wants to hear it. Nature and Human relate instantly, however, we tend to ignore such bond, completely blind by the ego. Made in marble and wood to stretch this opposite however so similar concepts, the durability but also the fragility of the relationship between these two creatures. Metaphorically, as even the most solid materials with repetitive beating break, also the ecosystems, that seem to be everlasting, can also come crumbling down, as already is a present phenomenon in your days.

Nature is perfect but not beautiful, and that includes humans.

Interlinking different sculptural materials, being concerned with human behaviour, how it affects multiple ecosystems and human society in itself are key aspects of my practice.
My sculptures are made with raw materials, clay, wood and stone, mostly found in non- industrial areas, using the traditional way of carving, as the physicality of the body in space and it is own self-sufficiency is my way of relating more intimately with the materials. Carving intuitively is a direct approach to deep ecology theories and by using the human body as a subject I relate to social behaviours, alienation of the self and anthropomorphic views. These two contrasting theories are a major concern in my practice, as I do not romanticise the "natural" world, nature is perfect in the way it cycles, however, we have to consider why we shelter from the climate, why we need medicines and why we are so separate from our fellow species? The natural world can be the plague, catastrophe, the cycle of the predator-prey and inevitably death. That is the natural order of things. Humans are part of this so-called Natural world, we are an organic function being.
