Lovers, you’re in my heart

Ta Thimkaeo • Thailand

2018 • oil on canvas

150 x 70 cm

Blanc a New York-based magazine wrote an article about me in the November issue; it went on to say Ta has a special interest in character development and portraying “a little of the night…coming from my dreams and imagination.” This combined with her passion for colour psychology draws the viewer in and leaves them there, whether Ta is using oil on canvas, charcoal and pastels, watercolours, acrylic on wood or pencil. To say that Ta is a versatile artist is an understatement—creating modern, contemporary, and folk art that includes portraiture and figure drawing in its vast subject matter and explores periods of Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism with influences from Botticelli to Lowry and Magritte.About the Lovers, they all come from my imagination, my feelings my memories, some good some not so good but I try to focus on the good ones, a dance I remember, a hug after a long time apart or to hold someone very dear to me. I love it that I can be bold and experiment with the colours the form the mannerism and be free of all inhibitions, I want them to look comfortable with lots of pleasing curves, ageless, of indeterminate origin or nationality, but above all at ease with themselves. I have sent my work to over 30 countries and to some great landmarks such as Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, 5th Ave New York, Malibu beach in California and from Washington to LA, Hong Kong, Monaco, Monte Carlo and Singapore, in fact one of my best collectors is in Amsterdam which is not short of great artist or galleries, I’m very proud of that.

About Ta Thimkaeo

Internationally one of the Best Online-Selling Artist.

Ta’s work is rapidly attracting a growing international audience, and it is clear that this multi-talented artist is in a league of her own, and is helping to put Thailand on the world map regarding fine arts. Her art explores many styles, from Modernism through Impressionism, Expressionism and Cubism.

Ta started life as an artist in 2011 working in a studio on Koh Samui where she worked with one of the finest artists on the island. Though mostly self-taught it was apparent she had a natural talent for painting.

In 2012 Ta opened up her gallery in Samui which was very successful and in 2014 decided to concentrate on selling her art online. Ta had her first selected exhibition in 2016 on the beautiful island of Koh Samui was is also a finalist in a prestigious exhibition which was to be held in London in early 2017 and in 2018 the Editors of ArtFinder picked Ta as one to watch and invest in.

Thanks to the boundless possibilities of online galleries my paintings have sold to private collections in The United States, Europe, Australia, Canada, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Hong Kong, Peru, Singapore, South Korea and of course Thailand, up to now in 29 countries. Not bad for a girl from the rice fields of Thailand!
