Under the Bodhi Tree; Landscape II is a mixed-media work with a leaf from the Mahabodhi Temple in India, which rests above a stupa, represented by the embroidered fabric remnant that was originally meant to be a pocket or breast plate on traditional clothing from Gujarat, India. A stupa is a dome-shaped structure erected as a Buddhist shrine. Hand-painted block prints of flora and fauna surround the stupa. Another band of embroidered fabric is at the base of the work, and a piece of sheet music rests above the bodhi leaf.
