By employing the traditional craft of lantern making, I created forms that resemble life in nature. This is based on my experience of the state of constant change in identity. In the process of growth, a temporary stage of evolution like these cocoon forms, presents a state of new life start and reborn and reincarnation. It is a self that adapts changes and growths yet aware and protected from the harsh environment.

With this pandemic crisis, I have not missed the elegance with which Louis Vuittons has created masks to protect against the virus. For me, this solution is brilliant and I wanted to capture it in a painting dedicated to him. Mr. de Rubeis is deeply involved in every aspect of his art. His belief in the importance of using high quality materials is evident to all who see his work. He finishes all his works of art with a high quality paint that protects them from sunlight and dust, preserving them in the best possible way. His commendable skill, talent and ability to bring each work to life have made his paintings highly sought after and can be found in numerous private collections and respectable art galleries around the world. Investing in his work will bring a life of pleasure to the most demanding buyers of fine art and considering the artist's talent, it will only grow in value over time.

This is an inspirational painting of struggle towards achieving ones goal. Sometimes we face difficult challenges but if we believe we can make it through the tough times we can make it.

Who is flying through the night, it is the barn owl and she is looking for something to eat! The size of the painting is without frame 40 x 60 x 2 cm and with frame 43 x 63 x 3 cm, the painting was finished on 30.04.2019. This technique is very rare and difficult. There are only a few painters all over the world who paint on velvet. This painting has a wonderful wooden shadow gap frame in the colours gold and black. You get when you buy this painting a certificate of authenticity with the number, the size and the date of finishing the painting and my signature. I have the list of my paintings with the numbers. This list is carefully preserved.

Iridescent street views, neon light housing silhouettes, dizzying skyscraper canyons. All this seems to be seen in the photographs of Heiko Hellwig. As if taken from satelites that are looking from above into the chaos of megacities, into the barren land of industry sites or the maze of modern suburbs. A futuristic scensrio of glooming light and neon lit trails in dawn.
