Irene studied at the College of Art & Design in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
Her preferred medium is oil on canvas, using brush or pallet knife, as well as the use of acrylic and acrylic inks - which has led to the creation of the Rinki Collection, a quirky take on African animals, which has been developed into a merchandise range and is endorsed by the World Wild Life Fund.
Irene regularly exhibits with many galleries and is a committee member of the South African Society of Artists (SASA).
Irene’s paintings have been sold to private collections in America, South Africa, Russia, Italy, Germany, Holland and the UK.
A recent auction of one of her paintings at Spier wine estate helped raise over R100,000 for the Save the Rhino Foundation.
