The exhibition is open to public, the interested visitors can see it on every weekend in June 2019, on Friday from 2 p.p. to 6 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. We encourage the visitor coming from greater distance and those who like greater "excitement" to come on the last weekend in June, i. e. June 28th, 29th and 30th, because of the internationally known Őrség fairtaking place at this time in the nearby municipality located only 14 km from the doll exhibition.
Rózsa Marozsyné Guba – was born in 1951 in the Great Plain (Hungary). In 1985, she was awarded the title of doll-making folk artist. She processed and judged the significant folk costumes of the regions of Hungary. For example, the folk costumes of Sárköz and the region of Kalocsa until the early 1800s, as well as many folk costumes of Baranya, Transdanubia, the Great Plain and Palócföld. Much of her work has been done for the Japanese market, but she can be found almost everywhere in the world. Her works were part of several "interstate" gifts in the 80s, so they are found e.g. in the collection of Helmuth Kohl and Fidel Castro, too.
Currently, she is working on a model doll exhibition that not only shows the clothing of a particular region or period, but also highlights and reveals to the viewer the most influential folk traditions, historical participants and religious moments of Europe.

Doll Exhibition in Őrség (Ivánc, Őrség National Park, Hungary)
A doll exhibition consisting of nearly 100 self-made miniature models is organized by Rózsa Marozsyné Guba doll-making artist in the settlement of Ivánc, located at the gate of the Őrség National Park in Hungary. The venue of Ivánc and the Doll Exhibition is located on the popular tourist route of Őrség – a route primarily recommended by Google maps (as a settlement located in the territory of the first national park, that is why it is often referred to as the "Gate of Őrség ") when approaching from Budapest, for example, towards Őriszentpéter or Pityerszeri Skanzen. In addition, Rózsa Guba organises the exhibition in her own home gallery in an exceptional 130-year-old authentic house in Őrség. This form of exhibitions, the so-called "home gallery" is becoming more and more fashionable in the USA for example, since it provides opportunities for direct conversations and relaxation unlike in the common, cold atmosphere of exhibitions or museums. To quote the artist: “If someone wishes to see my creations, I am glad to welcome them after making an appointment and I can even offer some scones made in the furnace in a unique atmosphere.”
With the help of the exhibited works, the known historical figures and the perhaps less well-known clothing of many European countries, and the many, often forgotten moments and scenes of Hungarian folk customs come to life. The doll-making folk artist considers it extremely important that this year, besides foreign exhibitions, international presentations and exhibitions; her works can be visited in Hungary as well at least once, thus contributing to Hungarian tourism and cultural experiences. The exhibition is open to the public and free of charge in June 2019 at weekends, from 14:00 to 18:00 on Fridays and from 11:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. (Members of the press and VIP guests can also see the exhibition on May 17-18-19 and during the weekend of May 24-25.)
