The moment a fairy tale move's from light to dark, The sound of the wind through the pines, the sentience of animals, Far beyond the edge the clouds, What we fear in the dark and what lie's beyond fear. www.daisyclarke.co.uk
My art practice is primarily painting in the mediums of oil and gouache.
The continuing theme of my work is landscape to express atmosphere and a fascination with the British countryside, folklore and 17th-century painting.
As a child I was fascinated by any historical places, those interests lead Paganism, folklore and magical forests and castles.
I now travel regularly travel from my home in South London to my mothers in East Sussex and these journeys provide me with a wealth of inspiration and time to reflect.
I’m trying to capture the magical quality stillness and serenity of which remains unchanged for centuries.
