BIOGRAPHY

Karyn is an artist based in Johannesburg, RSA. She grew up in Virginia (Free State Province) and later obtained a Bachelor of Social Science degree at the University of Natal. Karyn has no formal education in art, but has been drawing from an early age. She received private oil painting lessons from the late Nuccia Taylor. A member of the Paint & Palette Society, the Miniature Art Society of South Africa (MASSA) and the Botanical Artists Association of Southern Africa (BAASA). She is a Full Member of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Engravers, London, UK (RMS).

November 2018-February 2019 - Commissioned by Investec to paint fifty miniature artworks, 16mm in diameter representing a red sold sticker for their campaign "The Art of Buying Art" which was displayed at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair.
