For over two decades I had exhibited my work in more than 30 solo shows and 70 group exhibitions in different venues as art galleries, international art fairs, and museums. They had taken place in many cities throughout the US and abroad such as in Japan, China, Korea, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Aruba, Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Panama, Bolivia and Argentina.
My artwork is part of prominent private and public collections in various art museums.
Some of them are The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum, The Lowe Art Museum, MOCA-Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami Beach, Bass Museum of Art, The Georgia Museum of Art, The Mobile Museum of Art, The University Art Museum in Radford, Virginia, The Hangaram Art Museum in Seoul, and Gyeongnam Art Museum (GAM) in South Korea, among others.
The Young at Art Museum (YAAM) of Broward County in Davie is showing my interactive public artwork titled “Meadow of Options” at their CultureScapes Gallery in Davie, Florida, as part of their permanent collection. In 2014, I had a retrospective solo exhibition titled “Crossroads of the Dystopia” at the Patricia and Philip Frost Art Museum. In that year my work was on view at Color of Latin Exhibition in the Gyeongnam Art Museum of South Korea.
My most recent commissioned public artwork “The Canopy Crown” is at Zoo Miami Amphitheater. This piece works with the environmental light creating an interactive experience while projecting different animal silhouettes that are in constant movement depending on the light position during the day and night.
As part of the Miami-Dade Art in Public Places collection I was also commissioned for “Vitality” at The Jackson South Community Hospital (Interior/ Way-finding System), in order to vitalize the patients and visitors, and contribute to the healing of patients. This project included 4 floors and ER flooring, lighted murals, signage, Lobby Mural, fixtures, and silk screen pieces. Another public art is the Lobby Flooring at the historic Miami Lyric Theater in Florida, and a public sculpture titled “Vessel” in Cartagena Plaza/Coco-Plum Circle at the City of Coral Gables and City of Hialeah.
In several occasions I had received national and international awards in recognition to my professional artistic career such as Seetal in Switzerland, Medal of Culture in Rotterdam, The Netherlands given by the city; Florida Individual Artist Fellowship Honorable Mention, and Chivas Regal Order of Distinction.
