The South Tyrol artist Markus Ganz, born in Germany, has been painting since childhood. He worked for a well-known graphic artist as early as the 1980s and began serious watercolor painting in the 1990s when he lived in Locarno on Lago Maggiore in Switzerland. An artistic hiker who stops along the way to explore landscape painting, modern, historical buildings, architectural elements, the figure and the mountains. He learned to love the different aspects and fascination of this watercolor technique from local artists and studied with them. It always fascinates him, istead mixing in a watercolor-box, letting the colors an the watercolorpaper flow into each other and thus allowing an influence of chance on the design of color, light and shadow, especially the representation of the sky. His artistic motto: the perfect representation of imperfect perception ... Arrived in South Tyrol in 2018, he was drawn to the power and beauty of the Dolomites and the special light. He is on the fire with lifelong passion to share joy in his paintings.
