Painting every Day mostly oil on canvas, Peter is getting more and more global recognition visitors and interest.
Covering so many subjects and stories, fairies, Landscapes, always embedding spirituality, in radiant colors and shades. Pallet knifes and Brush allow him great dimensional effects.
A world traveled person with a deep spiritual depth: This allows him ideas that soar to dizzying heights, he is true to the insightful and profound soul. This is reflected in his paintings, which are radiant and vital, always exploring new dimensions, abstract to surreal, contemporary to late Impressionism.
Going Public his fist time brought great recognition. February 2015 Peter opened a gallery in the City of Bremgarten, Switzerland – Weissenbachhaus Gallerie - which he ran for three years with several, 9 of his own exhibitions and 2 other Artist. Currently he is promoting his art internationally, starting with Armory Artweeks thru Artbox Projects in New York March 2018. He has done 10 different single shows, and 4 Art Walks in the past 4 Years. Swiss Art Expo in Zürich and the art box Project Zürich 1.0 August 2019
Born 1958 in Switzerland, Peter was drawn to art. Already as child seemed to be quite unique alive and inspiring to many, clearly ahead of his time, at the age of 16 he was featured in many articles with his drawings. AJZZ (Autonome Jugend Zeitung Zürich) newspaper of Students in Zurich.
It was at this time Peter met, and worked for five years with Rafael Weber, one of Swiss finest surrealists. Rafael introduced , Peter to many other artists such as H. R. Giger and Paul Racle.
While living in United States 1980 to 1997, Peter visited several courses at San Francisco Art Academy; photography, metal casting and stained glass. He also worked at the Rorick Gallery, San Francisco as gallery assistant. It was in San Francisco he met and became good friend with Aung Aung Taik and many more Artist and Musicians, so many great inspiration's for him.
In New York, Peter did some design for the stage work for Disney-CBS studio’s Clear Light Opera Santa Fee project. After this project, Peter worked for Joya Interiors, an Art Deco gallery and custom furniture factory, as gallery assistant, restaurateur and factory foreman. Here he had the opportunity to handle originals by Lalique, Icart, Érte, Chapirus, Lockhardt, P.l Faguays, Miro, Riche Louis, Stella, Delandre, including some early drawings from Picasso.
Back in California, becoming more and more inspired by the beautiful landscape, Peter started to paint large mix media landscape aquarelles (oil pencil and ink) in impressionism with radiant colors and light.
In 1997, his wife and he decided to move back to Switzerland.
In addition to his oil paintings, Peter has an extensive collection of watercolors and mix media, mainly done in California, plus 16 books of ink drawings, dating back to 1980.
