QCA Galleries are a facility of the Queensland College Art. Exhibitions, guest lectures and artist talks are programmed throughout the year with exhibition opportunities available to students, staff and external exhibitors. Exhibitions are free and open to the public.
QCA Galleries promotes experimentation and innovation across four gallery spaces, Webb Gallery, Project Gallery, Pop Gallery and White Box Gallery.
WEBB AND PROJECT GALLERY
The galleries are located on the ground floor (level 2) of the Webb Centre (SO2) at the QCA South Bank campus. They are open to the public, with an exhibition program including work by postgraduate students and staff of QCA as well as external exhibitors. Applications are open to practitioners of the visual arts, digital media, performance, curatorial projects, audio, craft, installation, text etc.
Normal opening hours are 10 am – 4 pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Please check the opening hours prior to your visit, as exhibition times and dates vary with each exhibition.
POP (Postgraduates and Other Projects) Gallery opened in 2011 as a research space primarily for QCA Postgraduate and Research students and related projects. The newly refurbished contemporary art space at 27 Logan Road is right in the heart of the vibrant Woolloongabba shopping and dining precinct. This premium venue presents a diverse program of research based exhibitions to a broad public audience.
POP Gallery is open 5 days a week; Wednesday to Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, and Thursdays 12 pm – 8 pm.
WHITE BOX GALLERY
The White Box Gallery is the student gallery of the QCA Gold Coast campus. Located on level 1 of the Visual Arts building (G14), it provides a venue for exhibiting work by undergraduate and postgraduate students, alumni and guest artists.
The White Box Gallery provides students with professional gallery management, curatorial and exhibition experience at an undergraduate level, which equips them with skills that are transferable to real-world situations.
