I reside in Buckinghamshire in the Milton Keynes area. My permanent working studio is in the basement of the Newport Pagnell Library.
My art education is in the form of peer learning, taking inspiration from my environment and absorbing as many artists’ practices through attending previews, artists talks, exhibitions and, festivals.
The source for most of my work begins with a vivid imagination, a fleeting recollection that I have stored in my memory bank. A visual snapshot that has held my attention for a moment works also.
Through developing the visual skills, that I already possess, I am excellent remembering features and shapes for some future opportunity. I have the ability to make mental notes to be stored in my ever-increasing memory library. The combination of shape combined with colour cause an immediate recall to consider another opportunity to fulfil and complete further artwork
I believe that art has a strong emotional vibe that can excite and also cause us to consider the life we have been given. Art and colour are an essential gift to bring good health to us.
There is beauty to examine fresh everyday if we are able to take the time to see it. I am irresistibly drawn to colour, shape, light and space, my passion for texture has a prominent place in most of my artwork.
I use acrylic paint, inks and other additional elements, frequently with the addition of a resin pour combination.
I am an experienced user of digital art and produce art prints from various subject matter.
My artist heroes are Van Gogh, Turner and a hundred others.
