I am an visual artist, or as I call it, "maker of things". I love creating and making things. Many of my pieces deal with themes, of sexuality, the mind or history. That's simply because I find those interesting. I have been making art (things) since I was 4 years old, but it wasn't until my late 20's that I officially began making artworks. I started on day one with oil paints and then acrylic. I love them both.
American artist The Mazeking 飛龍 was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He is one of four children and his parents were both artists, his father a portrait painter and mother a classical singer. In 1998 he officially began his art practice and started painting, creating various works, ranging from oils on canvas to acrylic on paper. Since The Mazeking has created more than 300 paintings and over 2000 works of art in all, including drawings, foto-paintings, photographs and public works – with new artworks continually being produced. He is known for creating colorful, bold, and provocative artworks. His love of life, and passion for color and exploration springs forth in his works of art. Inspired by everything from his multiracial heritage to dreams and history, The Mazeking explores many themes, including consciousness, sexuality, mythology and the esoteric, offering us a richer and more engaging perspective. His work is included in several private collections around the world. He currently lives and works in New York City.
